Held Equestrian Center is a full-service, state-of-the-art riding facility built on 340 acres of undulating land on the Albion College campus. Albion is the only private college in Michigan, and one of the few private schools in the Midwest, with an equestrian center. The College offers students onsite boarding, training and lessons, equestrian management internships, equestrian-related pre-veterinary studies, and Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) varsity-level competition in dressage, hunt seat, eventing and western. In addition, the Held Equestrian Center hosts frequent clinics featuring top equestrian professionals. The Held Equestrian Center also offers a riding academy, instructing students from beginner to advanced in hunt seat, dressage, show jumping, eventing, and western. Children are particularly welcome, and the Center offers a number of special classes and programs for the younger rider. The staff and students of the Held Equestrian Center pride themselves on the Center's friendly yet efficient atmosphere. Only one thing rates as highly as our students and clients, and that is the welfare of the horse. Albion College's 340-acre Nancy G.
